Geraldine Jill Ingrid Jane Ellen Really, tho, the first three are so superior that they’re incomparable. Jane is excellent, and Ellen is very good in a cute part, albeit a light film.

I’d have rather she won three years earlier for Interiors, and thereby had Sarandon nom.’d and win in this year for Atlantic City. However, she is superb yet again in this phenomenal film, and very deserving.

I realize I’m a minority opinion, but this performance of hers never did it for me. I was voting for Mariel Hemingway in Manhattan, and the absent Jessica Lange in All That Jazz. KvK is a nice, well-made film, but it was so overdazzled by bigger and better ones that year that its win amazes still.

One of the worst and most ridiculous “wins” ever. Karen Black should’ve sued.

I love Margaret Rutherford, I agree she deserved at least one Oscar if not more, but this award was Edith Evans.’

Good performance in a somewhat awful film. But Hope Lange was absolutely robbed.
