Thanks! I haven’t done a PSA in a while. I’ll do some reminders on next week’s posts!

Writers, don't forget to alt-text your snips if they're a screenshot. Some of that writing is super tiny or colored so it's hard for some people to read. Alt text gives them an alternative way to read your awesome #WIPsnips!

Wow! This is so cool!

Visibility is always hit and miss. It might help to post under the daily prompt post instead of the one for the week, or to quote post the daily prompt post. But engagement or lack of engagement is definitely not a sign of whether it was good or not. Social media is weird.

Short form is totally fine! I’ve even seen poetry snippets. :) it’s just a snippet. Doesn’t even have to have context. Could just be a single sentence. Some people use the weekly word as a prompt to add to their current work, too.

I love this as a vibe.

Yeah. It’s been very chilly and rainy this week. Feels like early spring. Usually people are at the pool or lake by Memorial Day weekend and it’s definitely not the weather for it right now.

To add it for your post you have to click on the +ALT on your graphic when you're making your post before you post it. You can't edit it to add the Alt Text retroactively. If you click on ALT at the bottom of someone else's post, the graphic will pop up but at the bottom it will have plaintext.

The Alt Text goes on the graphic. When you’re posting it you’ll see this +ALT in the corner of the graphic you’ve added to the post. When you click on it then there will be a spot to add the text from your post. There you’ll put the text of the snippet. Is this what you meant?

Are you an agent or publisher? What do you mean by “suits your needs”?

Absolutely happy to :)
