bleeding out in front of city hall after a twitchy 'protest security official' thinks my HEY MA I'M ON ESPN COLLEGE GAMEDAY sign in the shape of florida is a gun

people don't know this but rite-aid actually only lets you buy three posterboards per year so you really have to make the most of it, that's why i scribbled the last two words off my old OWS sign so it can now say 'OCCUPY whitehouse'

this is probably one of the weakest vegan arguments in that it entirely relies on squishy cultural/emotional ties to certain animals. the default reaction is going to be 'oh, i guess i'd eat dog meat if someone offered it to me' - and i agree with the need for humans to move past animal agriculture!

the preceding line is almost as good, when Q asks how he can prove he's telling the truth about being mortal

am i reading that last line correctly in that its asserting people with autism are not fully formed individuals, and treating them as such only serves to allow the malfeasant to puppeteer them?

We shall shame the faces of many of God's worthy servants, and cause their prayers to be turned into curses upon us until we be consumed out of the good land whither we are going. - A Model of Christian Charity, John Winthrop, 1630

If we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken and so cause him to withdraw his present help from us, we shall be made a story and a byword through the world. We shall open the mouths of enemies to speak evil the ways of God, and all professors for God's sake.

states should've embraced the nebraska unicameral model after Reynolds v. Sims, if they're not allowed to serve the [debatably specious] regional balancing anti-mob rule function the federalist papers lay out then they're just vestigal time and money wasters

the most beautiful part is that she wasn't even the lab rat, those are the airline pilots he's training in the art of confident rejection by being judges on a fake singing competition. she was the serum they injected the rats with

it's a simple extension of protestant virtue ethics - goodness as an innate trait is necessary and sufficient for spiritual health, financial health, and bodily health. the good won't get sick because sickness is an emanation of badness

now we have the most degenerated meme-addled version of this parasitizing a far more important an org than initech, in DOGE, like elon loves the 'what would you say you do here' meme, he thinks he's the bobs sincerely. but at least the bobs were actually reading the spreadsheets and the org charts!

something that doesn't get understood enough in popular viewings of office space is that bob and bob suck at their jobs! they have no idea how the business works, fire tom, and promote the blissfully detatched peter. these 'efficiency consultants' sucked the life out of companies irl in the 90s

it's a reverse whateverism: we will resolutely denounce whatever will stancil says, and unswervingly reject whatever will stancil does

the real grim part is that once one starts seeing the consensus-forming mechanisms you talk about, they can't stop seeing them. i've had to unfollow a few dozen people i previously regarded as funny and level-headed bc they wouldn't stop playing Everything Will Stancil Says Is Egregiously Incorrect

if anybody in the CoS had a lick of poasting sense we'd be in far more trouble than we presently are, but thankfully they just utterly don't

you're more right than you know; the same demons who informed the construction of the piece are also informing the construction of our fascist regime, and i mean that with deadly precision
