In case you’re ever wondering if anyone values your posts, know it’s one of my highlights on BlueSky. I enjoy seeing what you’re up to with your ‘mids.

Our preschool has a brand new fence, and it took less than a week for kids to discover they can ring the playground bell by rocking the fence back-and-forth.

I prefer printed materials too, so I intend to print stuff out too. I didn’t know it would take five binders! Wow!

I’d love to know more about this beautiful board, if you’re willing to share. Is that a binder full of pyramid games?

Thanks for being out and visible, Wes. We are home today with a sick young ‘un, but I am appreciative of you and other friends who are in Jericho or South Burlington or Montpelier protesting with many today across our country.

That said, you may very well more about Funston than I do. I could maybe write a solid paragraph biography about him, but that would be it. 😉

I remember as a kid when it seemed like the whole town went down to the town square to watch the Funston house roll in after being uprooted from out in the country. Years later my little brother painted the house on the town square for his Eagle Scout project.

Awww! How cool. Nancy was my Cub Scout leader. Andrew was in my grade, and I am younger than David and older than Elizabeth. 😊 Your knowledge is super impressive for someone not from Iola, Kate!

Harry Houdini remarked little boy Keaton was a “little Buster” when the lad did an impressive trick along the lines of falling down stairs, and the nickname stuck.

Keaton’s parents were traveling vaudeville performers, who just happened to be in Piqua when it was time to deliver little Buster. I believe the family was only in town for a couple of weeks.

Iola is my hometown. Keaton was born just outside Iola in the wee town of Piqua. Kansans pronounce it ‘pick-way”, current population: ~90. The festival originated in Iola, but moved to Kansas City for a few years before moving back to Iola before ending altogether.
