We had some meh luck with our pepper seeds this year, too. Thankfully the local hardware store just put all their plants on BOGO. Snagged 16 plants for $4! Will be a late harvest if they survive, but hope to be stuffing my freezer for winter spicy goodness!

I'm glad you are healing. Closure rarely happens the way it does in movies, or how we think we'd like it to go.
It may not be the closure you expected, but I think a threat like that is some form of closure and solidifies you are much better off where you are now.
