I knit colorwork the same way!! Lovely ❤️

Your knitting is lovely but so are your nails!!!! What nail polish is that!?

Came here to comment this!! I’m American and I would absolutely make and wear that!!

These are incredible!! Did you have to do increases and decreases within the colorwork to get them to fit over your calves? Or do they stretch? So pretty 🥰

Oh no, I hate that! I have a favorite lipstick that’s discontinued too, had to buy it on eBay, hoping it takes forever for me to finish 😢

They look so comfy! 🤗

It depends for me. For 1/1 or 2/2 cables I usually do without the cable needle. For larger cables, sometimes I do use the cable needle because I find my tension is better - particularly with the left leaning cables, the last stitch I knit tends to get pulled out and looks too big! So, both are good

Cables - I love the deep winter hat and deep winter mittens by wool and pine designs! Stranded colorwork - any of the “doodle” patterns I.e. autumn doodle cowl are so much fun and are a choose your own adventure of stranded motifs. You’ll definitely find one you like!

Ah! Who knows then. Sometimes yarn has a mind of its own.

I know right!? Sometimes it’s a mystery. superwash tends to stretch out quite a lot, sometimes a shocking amount. I’m guessing the sleeves don’t have as much colorwork? whereas the colorwork on the yoke probably helps keep the shape more. Good luck! ❤️

Oh no! I personally would not put it in the dryer. Even with superwash yarn, it can get distorted in ways you don’t expect. I have accidentally shrunk a sweater like that before. And if you’re happy with the rest of it you want that to stay the same! Undo and redo the bottom half of each sleeve?

I put mine in big ziploc bags organized by which size they are for - sock, small, or large!

I would block it aggressively! Wet or steam the tighter tension part and pin it out to the desired width. See if that helps. If not, nothing wrong with unraveling. Happens sometimes!

Depends! Sometimes I just look on my phone. Other times, I do print out the pattern because maybe I need to track how many times to do the repeat, and then I put tally marks next to each line of the repeat. With most patterns I print at least one or two specific pages because I want to mark them up

So sweet! I have a black cat too. My cats love to supervise my knitting projects ;)

Oh this is so pretty!! I really want to make one of my own!

Those are mind bendingly awesome! I’ve done specific increases and decreases to create a right and left toe but not short rows. Something to try

Those are so gorgeous!!

I have at least 4!! I’m wearing one in my profile photo actually haha. It’s a wonderful, simple pattern! I knit another one when I need a comforting project.

Thanks! This is called the “short row heel for high instep” by Miriam Felton. It’s fantastic! And there are instructions to do it toe up or cuff down. The rest is just a plain sock, no specific pattern :)
comment in response to post
Oh this is such a good idea!! I might have to do the same. I have no idea what to do with all my sock bits!
comment in response to post
I have that in my favorites list!! Your version looks so cozy!

That was my thought too! Going to start with whichever I decide I want more and then see how much is left over.
