I don't know what I'm going to post here but let's be real, it's going to be Formula 1, tabletop gaming and generic nerdery with a side of tired leftism.

Typical RTD Doctor Who season finale: the doctor loses, everyone dies, then everything gets reset again somehow Typical Moffat Doctor Who season finale: answers about 2/3rds of the questions posed by the season arc but leaves 1/3rd unanswered and then poses further questions

So something bizarre seems to be happening. In my old age I am finding that my distaste for JRPG as a genre has waned. So anyway, Persona 3 is kind of great so far.

I think I may have trained my fifteen month old daughter to say 'boop' when she touches her own nose. I am very proud. Of her mostly. Of myself a little bit.

After years and years of using mechanical keyboards I have finally fallen into the rabbit hole of actually ordering after market switches. The impetus for taking the plunge was not what I expected. To my genuine and great surprise it's @strandedselkie.bsky.social's fault.

Local fried chicken place is so tasty it makes me forget my spice tolerance limits. No regrets. Well.... The most minor of regrets. Outweighed by tasty chicken.

It’s Mary Anning’s birthday, so time to share @katebeaton.bsky.social’s brilliant cartoon again.

Finished Andor. Absolutely beautiful piece of television. Best Star Wars property there is. It might even make me enjoy Rogue One on a re-watch. However, I think my original criticism of Rogue One stands.

This is so fucking good

It's a weird thing to say but one of my favourite things about Andor is the mundanity. Going to the bodega. Throwing peanuts at someone during a fight. After-work drinks for the SS. It's a far away galaxy high fantasy space opera but it's so _grounded_

Well we have now finished season 2 episode 8 of Andor and it continues to be the best thing Star Wars has ever done. Also this episode was dark as fuck but contained the biggest laugh out loud moment yet so that was nicely done, guys.

Ahhh cloud saves. Love it when I go to play a game I haven't played in a while and I've lost hours and hours of progress. Really makes me want to play that game and definitely not abandon it because it feels like wasted effort.

OK, tempering expectations as best as I can but the tone of the Superman trailer is ... exactly right. It's time for primary colours and optimism in my DC movies again and it's about damn time!

Share the last 4 games you played and expose your gaming habit (TTRPG only version) (Not had a chance to be in a regular game for a while but I think it’s…) DND 5e Werewolf the Apocalypse Star Trek Adventures Cyberpunk Red

I have three types of ttrpg characters - Disaster lesbian - Just a weird little guy - Walking apocalypse

Island of Strangers is it? I’ve got friends who are immigrants. It’s the MPs, think tanks and their financial backers who are strangers to me. They wouldn’t want to know me. The feeling is mutual. Those are the strangers. Immigrants are my neighbours. Fuck Labour.

The step-up in anti-migrant rhetoric from the government is shameful and dangerous. Migrants are our neighbours, friends and family. To suggest that Britain risks becoming “an island of strangers” because of immigration mimics the scaremongering of the far-right.
