If we’re being honest, the biggest threat to urban livability isn’t density or height. It’s the noise, danger, pollution, and wasted space that comes from prioritizing cars above all other modes of transport.

These are the accomplishments?

Joni Ernst and Thom Tillis — 2 GOP senators who knew how bad Hegseth was but voted for him anyway out of personal ambition — should lose their re-election bids over this if they run in 2026.

“Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared detailed information about forthcoming strikes in Yemen on March 15 in a private Signal group chat that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer, according to four people with knowledge of the chat.” www.nytimes.com/2025/04/20/u...

fun historical fact: among the core political forces in the development of mass incarceration was the "Victims' Rights Movement". Its first major legislative national legislative victory was under President Reagan. The prison population doubled under his administration.

Yes, public transit is still safer than driving. Much safer. www.scientificamerican.com/article/is-p...

Sending people to foreign prisons isn’t a debate about immigration policy. Telling private universities who they must hire and what they must teach isn’t about antisemitism. Destroying the economy thru tariffs isn’t about revitalizing American industry. It’s all about power and domination.

with friends like these who needs the murdochs

Sometimes, when he fails badly enough, Trump can be forced to do the thing he says he never does: back down. Today is just one more turn on the roller coaster - but it is more evidence of why we can't give up or let up.

Rep. Steven Horsford to Greer: "So the trade representative hasn't spoken to the POTUS about a global reordering of trade, but yet he announced it on a tweet? WTF! Who is in charge? It looks like your boss just pulled the rug out from under you. There is no strategy ... is this market manipulation?"

90 percent. They sent innocent people to a gulag so Trump could look like a tough guy. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Absolutely every business should do this.

you can't spell "tariffs" without "FFS"

you know things are going well when they break out the turnip photos

Analysis | Trump is finally giving us the recession that Biden could never deliver.

With Yoon removed from office today, by my count that makes 34 democratic leaders convicted since 2010. Only one—Trump—faced no real consequences. Trump's actions weren't uncommon. What was exceptional was how our institutions failed to hold him accountable.

Robert Wolf on Fox News: "This big beautiful economy that actually was rolling pretty good with jobs and inflation coming down feels more like the Game of Thrones red wedding. I mean, it's not going well."

Today's stock market crash was the worst since the Spring of 2020. Can you guess who was president during *both* crashes? I bet you can!

can’t make this stuff up
