A good round up of arguments. Here in the Delta, the link between violent authoritarianism is so cemented with white Protestant Christianity that it's more notable when they *did not* support the KKK and racial terrorism than when they did. But, historically, that base changes with cultures.

If whiteness is the keystone, Christianity is our cultural supporting arch of default/good. The starting impulse then is first&always needing to separate bad from this default before any critique. It empowers the bad. (And is paradoxically part of why white Christians feel so righteously oppressed!)
