Something to remind you It's a world worth saving

Hey Blueksy, if you're looking for magic books and magic school books that *aren't* horribly exclusionary, let me share some fantastic examples with you. #BookSky πŸ’™πŸ“š

πŸ’™πŸ“š Rich world-building with footnotes! Our hero Calanthe is a Merchant of Knowledge, whose currency is secrets. She must infiltrate an oppressive matriarchal society to recover a gem that can turn a mortal into a god. Compelling, rewarding with lots to say about love, faith and gender. πŸ“šπŸͺ

Oh, this one was FUN. Adrian Blackwood is a witch on the run who just wants to build his magical grove. He hires demon Bex and her crew to protect him – and what follows is an action-packed adventure with found-family and some really, really well-thought-out demon lore/world-building. πŸ’™πŸ“š πŸ“šπŸͺ

It's come to my attention that some people believe you can't buy a new book until you've read the books you already have. Let me assure you, as both a lawyer and a writer, that this idea is legally and morally WRONG and BAD. Buy more books.

I am reading The Hades Calculus, by Maria Ying and GAH. It is so good I might not even play video games tonight 😩 Kind of a cyberpunk version of Hades and Persephone, with kaiju and battle-suits and yearning and gender is whatever the characters say it is. Pretty cover, too. πŸ’™πŸ“š πŸ“šπŸͺ

Share the media. The news is compromised. We're starting to boil over.

A slow-burn fantasy mystery that pulls you in headfirst and doesn’t let go. Set in the city of Astreiant, a city of political instability on the tail end of a recent war where superstition reigns and the citizens’ lives are governed by the stars they were born under. SO good. πŸ“šπŸ’™ πŸͺπŸ“š

This looks utterly adorable!

#Booksky Like book sales? Entertaining queer books to help you get away from all *this* for a bit? We got you covered! Check out our book sale on Smashwords this week for great deals! www.smashwords.com/profile/view...

I just picked up Merchants of Knowledge and Magic (The Pentagonal Dominion Book 1) by Erika McCorkle. The world building sounds incredible.

We've been saving this little pup for when we thought you all might really need a gold star. And, given the current circumstances, here she is. 13/10

This sounds useful and very important right now -- a website for federal workers to share info about what's going on in the government right now.

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

I've seen videos suggesting widescale purchasing boycotts to 'starve' billionaires. Billionaires DON'T suffer from boycotts because they've already amassed A BILLION DOLLARS. If people stop buying books/audiobooks/art we creatives cannot make a living. Things are bad. Please don't make them worse

okay this is rather fantastic

#Booksky You know what I, a smol press publisher of queer books, would love? To survive this hellscape and move into a world where we could thrive, obvs. But also to see our print sales rise above 20-40 sales a month, preferably from indie platforms/direct from us. bookshop.org/lists/queen-...

Check out the very 1st issue of Damselle, a fabulous magazine for heroines of romantasies & paranormal romances! It's full of articles by authors like SL Prater, Lisette Marshall, and more, and one of my own heroines wrote in to the Dear Stabby column. dl.bookfunnel.com/cd9tn01otg #romancelandia

This sounds SO good! πŸ’™ πŸ“š

Here is the pre-RFK vaccination schedule for your kids. Please download it before he is confirmed and changes/deletes it. Give it to your pediatrician and say this is the schedule you want your kids on. Making this my pinned post.

Hey All: Google is pulling the "automatically on for anyone over 18" bullshit with Gemini that the Dropbox did for its AI, but I can't afford to ditch Google Drive/Docs/Workspace. If you have a personal Google Account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off...
