In all transparency, I'm Canadian. But I have a lot of friends in the US, and I do hot to see you guys figure it out. Especially since all of this has a huge impact on us up North. Best of luck guys!

You say that with the confidence of someone who is ignoring the fact that he was elected TWICE.

I'm noticing my home province (Quebec) is not on the list. :(

The incoherent rambling of a senile old man...

I'm slightly ignorant on what this actually means... What would be tariffed exactly?
comment in response to post
And this is why I don't read anything on FB.

The issue is that the province don't want to see this change. I seem to remember the provinces saying they need more than the CHT provides, but don't want to allow Ottawa any say in how the money is spent given it's under provincial jurisdiction.

And they will continue to vote form him.

Well, I think the US just found what's broken...

Your wish has been granted!

The only version of this type of flag I will endorse.

And what's his solution? Where do these people go? You will hold them in jail indefinitely? These camps are a symptom, and removing them doesn't resolve the issue. I can't stand this guy...

We all know this. PP keeps on saying that it isn't, but members of the conservative party have been trying to find ways to limit access to abortions for women every year.
comment in response to post
For this reason alone, I would never vote conservative.

Nah... 30,000 Americans leveraging their 2nd amendment rights in front of the White House and a finely honed guillotine can get the job done.

Some of these people are going to resist being disappeared, especially those that can align some form of protection (ie mayors and city councilors with armed body guards). These are slowly (or quickly) going to become firefights in the street.

International cooperation is based on trust and credibility. The US government is neither credible nor trustworthy. The only thing keeping it afloat is the fact that it's one of the biggest market places in the world.

I surrendered in the the most amazing way. Xi looked at me with tears in his eyes. He shook my hand and said: "Sir, no one has ever surrendered to me in such a way. It was the best surrendering I had ever seen." Some say it was the biggest capitation ever, it will be in the history books!

I agree that would be the ideal path. Feels like the ideal path has been left behind though.

Should we set upa gofundme or kickstarter campaign?

Pretty sure Scotus disagrees.

And this is why normally don't allow one person to make these decisions. Congress caved to Trump, they are as guilty as he is.

Jesus Christ, this is what you say when the cops pull you over.

What a ridiculous notion.

At this point, might as well start saying that the US and China won't be trading anymore.
comment in response to post
First off, that was insulting to rocks everywhere. Second, Canadian here, and we're not interested in US dairy as we don't allow certain hormones to increase milk production. Trump has been complaining about this since 2018. I really hope we don't budge.

I was thinking that Americans should flex their 2nd amendment more than the 25th in this case, but that just goes to show how low I've fallen... :'(

He isn't the man for any moment. Conservatives need to find an actual leader if they want to get back to power, nit this whiny excuse for a politician whose only analysis of any situation is "it's broken".
comment in response to post
Is broken the 9nly word he can insert in a sentence? So tired if hearing that nonsense.
comment in response to post
That's exactly how all this works. Everyone is simply interchangeable for all jobs. You finished with a degree and were doing stats analysis? You'll obviously be a great turner of little screws in these iphones for a quarter of the pay.

Another reason I've not gone back to Twitter in over a year (other than accidentally clicking on a link).
comment in response to post
Is there really a going back? Think most countries will see the US as the trade partner they need moving forward? It would also give other countries more power knowing that Trump cannot maintain tariffs, or that their use hurts the US (something EVERONE else already knew).
comment in response to post
Is this why Elon gets fired? Cause he's not onboard with Tariffs?

Only if you sell. It's a win / win for the Oligarchs though. They win if you hold, and they win if you sell.

The Orange Crush?

Never comply in advance.
comment in response to post
How are people going to get rich? Due to high labor costs, domestic US production of many of the tariffed goods coming in will not be cost effective for consumers. What's the investment play here?
comment in response to post
To be fair, so is the Dow Jones, S&P, and pretty much any market you can name. I'm not arguing against your point (Bitcoin is simply too volatile for a currency, or anything else other than a gamble, really), just calling out we're in the worst timeline right now.

Talk about an opportunity to 'reparent', as JFK JR put it...
comment in response to post
Wasn't Maddow reporting that Navarro kept on referring to Ron Vara as his source for multiple economic theories, when that person doesn't exist, it's just an anagram?
comment in response to post
It's been said that's the strategy. Make things as clear as mud, giving Trump any out he wants when he wants, and he'll declare some very suspicious 'win' down the road. A win that is not supported by facts.
comment in response to post
Yes, yes it is. :D
comment in response to post
"but they made trains unsafe"... How does anyone listen to this garbage?!
comment in response to post
He's right though... Markets run on vibes. The economic crash will come in a few weeks when the tariffs impact international orders.
comment in response to post
Private enterprise being punished for breaking the law and some moron sees this as a reason to leave a military alliance? Checks out, if you're a Trumper.
comment in response to post
If this was accurate, we need Poilievre out of politics. If you have different ideas, debate those. But these random accusations and constant whining are simply not acceptable. He's a disgrace to this country.

I will happily trade some Maple Magas for the same number of 'woke' Americans. I hear that 1 out of 5 Americans whished their State was a Canadian province. I'm sure we can get a few of them to come brave our winters with us.

This will prolly be another strongly worded letter about concerns. Wake me when someone is in prison.
