If you avoid a chronic condition because we install HEPA filters in workplaces and you mask in crowds, you’re healthier. And so is everyone who can access the providers you don’t need because there were appointments available. Those ripples of community care matter. And they need policy support

I think some ppl believe that if they get it right or perfect, they will be able to achieve a lasting solution. But history & sociology have helped me understand that freedom & justice are a constant struggle, so it’s imperative to do what you can when you can w whomever you can each day. 3/3

This is true!! I guess it also just feels weird to be studying how to take an equitable approach to improving childcare workplaces when folks in power would prefer we all stay home and raise our own without access to our own property, finances, or votes…

it can take up to 14 days after exposure to see symptoms, and you’d be contagious 4 days before becoming symptomatic (rash) as well. So being the same for days likely only means that we are in that 14 day window.

I did go to a wonderful memorial lecture last night where the guest speaker noted that regardless of the words we use or the support we have from our institutions, we all know what needs to be done and that the work remains the same. Going to tell my cynicism to hush + keep her words close to heart.
