It is obscene that there isn't more toss up ridings in Alberta though. I hate that my riding goes CPC consistently 50%+. It is working class and the CPC drop in some privileged connected asshat from Chestermere or somewhere and they win hands down.

Fair. I appreciate the honesty. Ranked ballot would be my first choice as well if I had to choose one thing only.
The current system is such a failure. It discourages turnout in a lot of ridings. It allows parties in Canada to aim for 38%.

Straight proportional is crap. Mixed members proportional. That could be intriguing. 20-25% of the seats for each province being proportional and could still have ranked ballot on the riding seats.
