Over the last decade how many times have we heard “this won’t end well for Trump”?
… except it always DOES end well for him because the US keeps letting him get away with it.

The kind of country where masked federal agents grab people off the streets, where people are sent to foreign gulags without a trial, and the kind of country where citizens who object to these things are beaten and attacked with tear gas.

Max annual dosage is 20 mSv.
At 6 mSv there’s an “intervention” to find a less irradiated schedule.
My annual dosages have never required an intervention.
Gotta watch those crew meals though. Someone is trying to serve me a second dinner at 11pm and an omelette at 3am. My body can’t sustain that!

Always important for the crew to huddle up and decide where to draw the line then come out as a unified body on the call to Scheduling.

I’ve heard rumblings but I’ll believe it when I see it.

We’re still waiting for them to make some trading cards for us

My Xwitter account remains deleted.
If this thing doesn’t work out then I’ll find something else, I guess.
Not going back to the rage farm though.

Cut out a corner of Filoni’s fiefdom and give it to Tony Gilroy!
I want a dark and gritty spy drama where fascist intelligence agents dupe Mon Mothma with a bunch of gullible Bothans.

Yeah. Deportation is legal. There’s due process. It’s not the outcome the person was looking for, but at the end of the day the law is followed and they have their day in court.
What Trump is doing isn’t deportation. It’s cruel and lawless and violent.

Is the OP from the US Pacific Northwest? Maybe they wanted to differentiate between the Vancouver in BC and the one in Washington state.

There won’t be any impeachments unless the Democrats retake the House.
No act of corruption, ineptitude or treason will move the House GOP to act - they’ve bent the knee to your new king.
Conviction in the senate won’t happen in any event, but at least impeachments might slow them down.

Everyone remembers when Rosa Parks meekly sat in the back of the bus then went home and wrote a scathing op ed.

I hear that Hakeem Jeffries has already written some really funny limericks and Chuck Schumer is working on a devastating haiku for when the next bunch of civil liberties get brushed aside.

It’s a sleepy town on Sundays, but it’s quite charming. Everything is very close to the hotel.
I’m back there again several times in June. If I’m feeling adventurous maybe I’ll go visit Heidelberg again.

Damn you, Gaspard-Gustave de Coriolis!
I took a look at the reports - looks like a bit of smoke up in YEG but nothing further south… yet.
Hopefully BC will have a more benign fire season this year.

The long fabled “Big Bid” will have to remain a thing of legend.
Even with the growth in YUL it wasn’t really much of a bid.
Still a bit above attrition levels but it doesn’t seem to account for many of the new planes on order.

Definitely a big ol’ “meh” for the rest of us.

Not to worry - the Trump administration doesn’t believe in the science behind hurricanes anyways.

Old Stalin-era Soviet joke.
Every day a man comes to the news stand, looks at the cover of Pravda and walks on.
One day the curious store clerk asks: “What are you looking for?”
He answers: “An obituary.”
Clerk: “Those are at the back of the paper, Comrade.”
Man: “This one wont’t be.”

There’s a LOT going on in there. Either Pesci or De Niro could have had supporting roles, instead he tried to make them both into leads.

“Casino” is B Tier Scorsese… which is still pretty damned good considering his A Tier.
“Barry Lyndon” is a very odd movie, famous for being shot in natural light. It’s a Kubrick film.

I decided to go with a couple classics on my last flight - “Casino” and “Barry Lyndon”

I’ve (luckily) only been given the key to an occupied room once in my career.
I didn’t catch anyone in an embarrassing or compromising position, luckily.
But henceforth and to this day I whistle a happy little tune to alert potential occupants when I first enter a new hotel room.

Pretty slick.
I dig the little dash-mounted standby attitude indicators; they look better than some of the primary instruments I’ve used.
