Discworld is the only series I know where Death is a cool character.

Never bother the Lady when she's having a bad time, and for Zazu that is almost always š
I wonder what the Revolution has in store to stop her and the other loyal groups in the Warren. Will have to just wait and see.

Discworld is amazing! My friend @buckbloombooks.bsky.social got me into the world. He's read the whole list of books, while I have enjoyed the several I've read so far. Guards!

Thing is though, I havenāt written anything new for Semāse - Path to Port Raze (working title) since December. So, Iām changing my posting schedule for March to once per week on Sundays.
I look forward to sharing my writing progress each week and snippets of the next in the Semāse series.

It was fun making the posts and getting the life of the story out there.
I do want to focus on writing more. Another post for another day š

I got hit up by 3 people via DM, and then several days later they were all deleted (spam) - the conversations felt simple (nice, polite) but had no reason behind the messages.

The city gives a second chance to many who wouldnāt have a path to redemption otherwise, though if you fall/fail, then you will suffer until youāre no more. Semāse embodies āhigh risk, high reward.ā š§µ5

The government definitely has a tight control on everyoneās lives, thereās just little reason to squeeze since mostly everyone is following the basic laws. A public demonstration has not happened, though it would be put down as quickly as a riot (not as brutally, but definitely resolved). š§µ4

Does the Semāse Government abuse its power over everyone?
For those who want privacy or break the laws - definitely.
For those who only care about having a job, being safe, and not caring about the details (mostly) - they donāt think so. š§µ3

From the world of Garmthās perspective the city state of Semāse has simple rules and laws with harsh consequences, just like most other governments. Semāse is under the Fairly Good qualifier as the laws arenāt cruel in nature. š§µ2

Similar to the Kobolds of the Zekesh Federation, the Cursed Elves in Semāse have an agreement with Lady Windspear. There is something that the Lady has which ensures the loyalty of these otherwise treacherous beings. What it is, and how long the Lady can maintain this alliance is up for debate. š§µ3

Itās not just that the Cursed Elves look terrifying (like living zombies) but more the fact that (outside of Semāse) any seen Cursed Elf would gladly crack you open for the wonderful sounds you make as you die. š§µ2
