IU adds Kansas State to nonconference schedule, giving Hoosiers high-major home game in DeVries' first season: www.indystar.com/story/sports... #iubb

Expect this to represent the heft in IU's nonconference schedule. Barring something unforeseen the rest will be buy games. Wouldn't be shocked if Indiana pursued a high-major exhibition opponent again, a la Tennessee. Nothing firm on that yet though. #iubb

One other note: IndyStar understands IU's expected nonconference home game against Kansas State has been formalized. That makes four high-major nonconference opponents (Marquette in Chicago, Kansas State, Louisville in Indy, at Kentucky). @roccomiller8.bsky.social had it first. #iubb

Forgive our tardiness, but @michaelniziolek.bsky.social and I will be recording a new Mind Your Banners live and in color today. We'll include a bit of a Q&A section at the end if anyone has IU-related questions on their mind. Leave them here, and again, sorry for the long silence.

"We're keeping it simple." Here's how IU intends to split up its $20.5 million in the first year of revenue sharing: www.indystar.com/story/sports...

Spoke with Scott Dolson yesterday about IU’s plans for splitting up its revenue sharing budget. Here’s how IU will break up its $20.5 million in the first year of rev share, and why the department is keeping it “simple.” www.indystar.com/story/sports...

Jordan Hulls will play with Assembly Ball, the IU alumni TBT squad, next month. List of committed former Hoosiers now includes Hulls, Yogi Ferrell, Troy Williams, Race Thompson and James Blackmon Jr.: www.indystar.com/story/sports... via @indystar #iubb

Hoops scheduling news: IU's game against Louisville is officially set for 2:30 p.m., Dec. 6, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. One other nonconference scheduling tidbit contained within: www.indystar.com/story/sports... #iubb

Curt Cignetti has for months delivered a clear message: We're on to 2025. It's not a strategy to combat any sense of complacency, after a remarkable season, but rather a foundational part of Cignetti's approach to each new year. Insider: www.indystar.com/story/sports... #iufb

'Every year, you start over regardless of the previous season. You learn the lessons, whatever lessons are there to be learned, file them away, and you start over again.' #iufb @zachosterman.bsky.social story www.indystar.com/story/sports...

Games 1 and 2 set the terms of these Finals, laid plain how each team can win this series. Now, Indiana comes home for Game 3 with one variable left to introduce into the equation. "Gainbridge is gonne be rocking." Insider: www.indystar.com/story/sports...

Myles Turner on going home for Game 3: "I just know Gainbridge is gonna be rocking man."

#Pacers return home tied with the #Thunder in the #NBAFinals. @zachosterman.bsky.social story www.indystar.com/story/sports...

Pascal Siakam with a good line on OKC's pressure: "They were super aggressive, which is what they do. They’re a disruptive kind of team. We’ve got to watch the film and find ways to, no matter what, still be us."

Thunder-struck: No miracle comeback this time as OKC buries Pacers in Game 2: www.indystar.com/story/sports...

FINAL: Thunder win 123-107, even the series at one game apiece. Series heads to Indy for Game 3 on Wednesday night.

Ruling stands, Pacers lose the challenge.

Rick Carlisle challenging a blocking foul on Myles Turner.

Haliburton finding his offense, after a long spell without it. But the Pacers are down 20, so that might be as much for Game 3 as it is tonight.

Myles Turner just put Hartenstein in a hole. Not been a banner night for a lot of Pacers but he continues to play well.

END OF 3Q: Oklahoma City leads Indiana 93-74. Pacers ultimately lost a touch of ground in that quarter.

Tyrese Haliburton just made his first field goal since that first-quarter 3. There are less than four minutes left in the third quarter.

Pacers are now 9-of-26 from 3. Thunder have one more. That's got to be part of the winning formula for Indiana in this series.

Pacers need to get Myles Turner moving downhill on Chet Holmgren more and more. It's a defensive matchup Holmgren's really struggling with at the minute.

HALFTIME: Thunder lead Indiana 59-41. Pacers were outscored 42-21 after taking a 20-17 lead late in the first quarter.

That's a 10-0 Pacers run, and Mark Daigneault wants a timeout. Lead is down to a more manageable 52-39, with 2:40 left 1H.

SGA spent the first quarter purposefully getting teammates more involved than in Game 1. Now he's turned on his offense (13 points so far). Rick Carlisle is on, I think, his third stop-the-bleeding timeout. Thunder lead 52-29, 4:47 left 1H.

Pacers are down 21. This is a 33-9 run.

I know this Indiana team never feels out of it. But this game is bending hard toward the Thunder right now because they are just outplaying Indiana. Pacers aren't digging their own holes tonight. OKC lead is 13 and it's deserved right now.

Getting away from Indiana a little bit. Thunder on a 16-3 run since the Pacers took a 20-17 lead late in the first quarter.

END OF 1Q: Thunder lead Indiana 26-20. Siakam had an open 3 at the buzzer but took too long to set himself and didn't get it off before the horn. Shot went in but won't count.

Pacers are 7-of-21 from the field in this quarter.

Two fouls on Lu Dort with 4:49 left first quarter.

Haliburton still searching for his shot in Oklahoma County.

Thunder win the tip. We're underway.

Rick Carlisle on Don Nelson: "He was a massive game changer in the industry of NBA basketball."

Rick Carlisle says Jarace Walker is "doing better, but he's not close to playing. He's on one crutch. Hopefully going to be off crutches in the next day or so. It's a long series, it's 18 days. He's young. There's a possibility he could get back. ... "But he's not there yet."

Mark Daigneault asked by @GreggDoyelStar who OKC ideally wanted picking up Haliburton on that last possession. Says basically Pacers are so good in transition you just have to pick up first and worry about matchups after. "Getting to five on five is the priority against them."

Tyrese Haliburton acknowledged so much of what Indiana did Thursday was "not the recipe to win." And the Pacers did anyway, delivering a timely reminder that the 3-point shot remains basketball's most devastating weapon: www.indystar.com/story/sports... via @indystar

Jaime Jaquez, here for the NBA, asks Haliburton about this series being a potential changing of the guard with young stars emerging. Says in part: "I don't look at it that way. I try not to think of the outside narratives that go into them winning or us winning."

Pascal Siakam on his memories of bringing the NBA championship trophy home to Cameroon: "I mostly think about the inspiration that gives to other kids out there, to know that I'm from where they are and I'm able to do these amazing things. It was a super humbling moment."

Mark Daigneault asked about OKC's second-half defense. Says Thunder "got a little loose" in some areas but also said he's "careful" not to dismiss Indiana's impact. Says they improved after halftime in ways that gave OKC trouble.

Impossible, it turns out, might just not apply to these Pacers. When *that* happens *this* often, it stops being a miracle and becomes expectation instead. Insider from Game 1: www.indystar.com/story/sports...

They stop being miracles when they happen this often. Believe you’ve killed the Pacers at your own peril. This never-say-die team has never been more alive. Insider: www.indystar.com/story/sports...
