If you haven't seen it yet, you can make up a completely fake proverb and as long as it SOUNDS like a proverb, Google will now create an origin for it.

They made a grey wolf look a bit like a dire wolf. This in no way brings them back.

You're both right. It's not the fringe that listened to Rush Limbaugh or watch Fox News. They have been mastering and dominating "politics' as entertainment for years. It's a neutral Meet The Press vs. entertaining Joe Rogan.

Rush Limbaugh, Medal of Freedom recipient, is how we got here. It's 'politics" as entertainment, and it's easy if it's aggressive, angry, mocking, and if you don't worry about facts.

I didn't realize what that was in reference to. We should all be debating and shaming our local amateur fascists. I'm kind of shocked at how few people do.

True. That doesn't mean it can't happen here or we can only be fascistic through bureaucracy. Germany wasn't in the habit of being Nazi like either.

Not sure that's accurate. Putin makes it understood what he wants and the machine makes it happen without an order or structure. Lots of people following out of windows is the result.

I feel seen and old. While I can become an AARP member, I can't retire for another 50 years. So I got that going for me. Which is nice.
