I would have assumed that like most baked goods there’s some eggs involved even if it’s just brushed on the surface.

Such a missed opportunity if the phone doesn’t use a ringtone resembling a wet fart.

The “Springtime for Hitler” song and dance number from the 1967 film “The Producers” comes to mind as perfect example of how the faux militarism of Nazis, Fascists and their fellow travellers can and should be mocked and seen as the pathetic pantomime that it is.

It seems like Walliams has been living in a certain bubble and wasn’t able to carry off a joke that was more edgy than funny outside of his typical milieu. While I understand the corporate ars covering statements from BBC execs, there IS plenty of effective comedy that mocks Nazis with the gesture.

Isn’t this a type of human trafficking?

Other countries are entitled to define the boundaries of the freedoms where one person’s rights infringe on another’s differently than the US does. The US standard for incitement to violence is much more permissive than most countries.

It’ll be fine, like the tests in Ideocracy

More like they’re both Kendrick. That dis track is lyrically an exclusionary pop ballad based on colourism, nationalism and conspiracist dog whistles — Truly an anthem for this era and the two Presidents.

How about Germany or Austria where it’s just food.

To be fair as someone who grew up in Israel that was considered German/Central European food, and just as “Jewish” as Humous, Shakshuka or any one the many ethnic foods that Jews brought with them from the diaspora and/or had always eaten because they were Tzbars for generations.

I’m partial to a different Cary Elwes movie that pays homage to many of best sword fights that had come before: Robin Hood: Men in Tights

Well by his own testimony to Congress, “[he doesn’t] think people should be taking medical advice from [him].” Now if only there were a way to make him shut up. Maybe lock him in a 6x6 room with VR headset so he can only harm actual NPCs with his conspiracies.

Is a “human dollar” like a tattoo of George Washington? How painful is it to exchange for goods and services?

In light of the number of politicians facing greater scrutiny over their health, age-related or otherwise, it would be advisable for political parties to undertake a systematic review of their serving roster to ensure that the public is being served by the best possible representatives.

…and properly informed the public how a functional bike lane network reduces traffic congestion for drivers. Much like how functional transit integrated intercity rail makes commuters lives better than adding another lane to the 401 at the same long term cost.

Sentiment analysis can be a useful tool to help folks understand how clearly they may be perceived, particularly across cultural and linguistic divides. But I agree that the outputs are not necessarily all ready for full automation.

I think in this case it’s what the ability to say it with impunity represents - a world of racial supremacy and hierarchy. However some people, typically older folks, are pushing back against the prohibition just because it’s there and/or they used to use the word causally without thinking.

I’m sure we still would. The coordinated well funded assault on Trans folks is a powerful astroturf campaign to gin up grievances and sow fears as means to get unpopular misogynistic laws and policies passed in the guise of “protecting women”.

This bit? "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:23-24 KJV

We live in the dumbest timeline when Jedward’s Under Pressure is a subversive song about current US politics.

The only way to secure schools is to implement safer gun culture in a country with more guns than people. None of this laissez-faire treatment of weapons not only in procurement and handling but also in media depiction. This will take at least as long as it took for tobacco to not be glorified.

The only demand that should be made of Harvard is that they have more students taught annually than they did 40 years ago. McGill in Canada is just as old and yet manages to educate twice the number of students in a country 1/10 the population of the US.

There’s worse sentiments; I’ve heard primary teachers referred to as “babysitters” to which I’ve responded, “they should definitely be paid better then!”

Yeah but Star Wars is now in the same position, out of stories to tell at least in the Saga era. Now if we got some Old Republic times that would be interesting again.

The issue with that IP is that so much of the content is derivative of the adventure serials, comic books and their successive adaptations to film and the Video Game series itself that it is genuinely hard to deliver an original script that will engage audiences on the small screen.

Or more likely, it all gets bought up by wall street slumlords who leverage the properties to the gills, run them into the ground, raise rents as much as possible and then sell them off wholesale to land speculators who’ll tear down and build condo studios for the ultra wealthy.

Honestly surprised to learn that this sport isn’t co-ed at least with foil and rapier as those are not weapons that can favour strength over dexterity and speed.

Fraud to the tune of less than a million dollars per person is being pursued instead of the fraud in the hundreds of millions taking place in the seat of government. Yep, sure sounds like the Gilded age.
