That's funny 'cause I played OneShot after Undertale and while OneShot is still fucking immaculate I couldn't help but feel like the Solstice route was missing something with how little time you get with the side characters compared to Undertale

In the climax a cool sequence of the party needing to muster their willpower and un-Cie'th themselves to defy their fates happens entirely offscreen and is described to us by Hope, I felt like I was going insane.

My favourite part is that the game completely runs out of story the second you get to Pulse, Hope and Vanille's eidolon awakenings happen at complete fucking random and the entire trip to Pulse turns out to be a waste of time.

Yeah and they had to have known because the first time you fight the Warrior of Light specifically drops a full set of Knight gear that takes you directly to 200% affinity for the 'invincible in Lightbringer' bonus.

iirc they still kept the part where Balthier and Fran have unique animations when using guns/bows which actually makes their DPS worse which does bum me out even if it probably doesn't matter in the long run because I always preferred to try and stick close to what characters 'should' use.

I love LAD localisations, the only part I don't like is the use of honorifics in the dub (English actors simply never sound right saying them out loud) but that's a defeat I accepted back in Lost Judgment which is good because that dub fucking rules.
