Some places do this to make sure you really want the job, I've applied to a few who've done this approach and its to weed out applicants who aren't trying hard enough.
Is it a shitty way to do things? Yep it sure as shit is, be persistent & if they string you along one more time lay it out for them

I literally don't see any so called "improvements" only washed down or muddied images from the "enhanced" version, congrats to them for making look worse, makes me glad I still have all the old VHS' of the original series ;-;
