Find someone who looks at you like Michael Bloomberg looks at giving political consultants mountains of cash.

The fact they weren't willing to state their position in writing is a complete institutional failure. Total abdication of responsibility.

I'm not sure. But one thing I AM sure of is Trump understands how global commodities markets work.

what's your sense of how well the primary electorate "gets" RCV? Are we going to see a lot of ballots that only indicate a single preference?

All my Jewish NYC relatives think the world ends somewhere Mid-Westchester County. I don't think the Book of Exodus is gonna get a new chapter where Michael Bloomberg leads the Jews out of Brooklyn into Jersey.

Mike Huckabee is absolutely salivating over this. They probably have a red heifer on standby to fly to Jerusalem. What these folks actually believe is so weird I think normies would have a hard time distinguishing it from satire.

The level of gaslighting that took place during the 2024 campaign was incredible. Don’t believe your lyin’ eyes. Donald the Dove, indeed.

I’d like to see the Democrats make this argument loud and clear. It’s time to stop being scared. Trump’s turning unpopular on immigration. Show the American people the costs of his actions. 7/7

Racism is bad for the economy. Economic growth stems from either increases in labor productivity or population size. Shrinking the population (and removing productive workers) shrinks the economy BY DEFINITION. People like Stephen Miller love racism more than economic prosperity 6/x

The long in short of this is that these moves to rid the country of all these people who are here legally is not just cruel, it’s economically destructive. It’s like making the argument that getting rid of Tulsa would be good for the economy of Oklahoma. Seems crazy when you phrase it like that 5/x

This is why areas that traditionally receive lots of immigrants don’t have persistently high unemployment. Immigrants create jobs where they move by creating demand in addition to supplying labor. 4/x

When you have these moves that try to get rid of hundreds of thousands of legal residents, you’re taking a hatchet to both labor supply and demand for goods. It isn’t like those 500k people were living here as non consumers 3/x

We live in a capitalist society. When someone immigrates here they immediately start consuming goods and contributing to the labor pool. They pay rent, buy groceries, get stuff like car and health insurance, etc. That’s what economic growth looks like—more people consuming more things 2/x
