Just watched the BBC doc about OceanGate + it was very disappointing. Real softball, low effort job. Said nothing new. Didn't ask any hard questions. Didn't cover anything about why the sub failed. Why carbon fibre is bad for subs. Nothing about all of this came to even be allowed happen. 1/2

Back in my SFX writing days I would have so much to say about Andor; the show itself, the effect it could have on Star Wars in general & the discussions about it in regards to media literacy, sexual assault & depth of character. It really feels like something we'll be talking about for a while.

After chatting with a friend my complicated Andor thoughts boil down to... I love Andor & it makes me wish the Star Wars TV shows before it had been better. It wouldn't have taken much, they just need more polish, mostly in the writing phase, character motivation, plot hole fixing narrative clarity.
