Ooooh season one is retro! It gets a lot better from about s4/5 so if you’re not already hooked I’d recommend skipping ahead a bit!

Here's how it works... first you work out all the time you have in December to watch Christmas films. You may need to factor in other people being around and shape your choices round that.

What I then do is work backwards from Christmas Eve: you put your favourites in the closest to Christmas so that the fuzzy twinkly feelings build as the month goes on... then you go through and fill in with everything you don't want to miss.

With this method you don't get that terrible Boxing Day feeling of realising you missed a corker and now have to wait another 11 months to rectify the situation.

Heck, some of my favourite films are missing: you can't do them all every year and so tough choices must be made if you're going to relal put the effort in to scraping the Netflix barrel. So rather than comment below about the severe lack of Die Hard just make your own calendar.
