How do other artists feel about the new overlay indicators? I now see that the play button is probably too much. Personally, I'd like to see the least amount of overlays on posts. For vids I prefer tapping to toggle play/pause without seeing the controls, but this could be less accessible for others

You don’t need to invent the wheel again. Just look how Apple has solved this in their Photos-app. Just follow the same design and the users feel at home.

Just be careful when you draw conclusions based on Testflight-feedback. Those beta-users are typically quite different compared to gen population.

I like the icons but Use one icon or the other. Smaller is a bit more “modern” The play symbol is obvious. Everyone knows it. But the action clapper makes it unique. Everyone still pretty knows it. But what’s the point of the Portfolio tab? I’m not getting that.

I like the indicators but imo the indicators could be a little smaller still. Artists will still need to curate their photos with that indicator area in mind as to not obstruct what they’re selling / posting.

Yes, I would not do the video icon in the corner and the big play button in the centre of the thumb, that’s overkill. Probably best to just do the small video icon in the corner so the thumb is still more visible.

Honestly I don’t mind the play button overlay, but if you want to have it smaller, perhaps a small play button where the clapper is? The play button plus the clapper icon are too much, there’s no need for both.
