Until today, Zelensky had been unwilling to publicly criticise Trump since he was elected in November 2024.

Bad news as Trump’s distorted views are shaping the US negotiation stance to an intolerable degree that Ukraine must correct them.

But good news in that Ukraine feels empowered to do so.
