In truth, I would rather not. The original film is perfect as it is. Sometimes it is better to leave when the party is at its zenith than to extend your welcome and leave with a hangover.
It doesn't need a sequel. Gladiator also didn't need a sequel. Sequels eventually tank in quality. Terminator movies, Alien movies and sadly Star Wars movies included.
I disagree, I think there could have been several sequels that we'd have enjoyed, sure, sequels are often bad, but not always, I liked several of the Alien films.
I think the problem is that so many of the books are set in areas rather expensive to show on screen, as Mediterranean areas would need a lot of CGI and don’t really have much places to double for them. Same as shooting the Indian novels, despite having great stories
Listen, it was a minor miracle that we got a historically accurate Mel Gibbon movie in the first place. I, for one, am glad Master and Commander Miami Nights Boogaloo never saw the light of day.
