Its not :D its just a small lil 1080p screen off Amazon. I use it for watching my stuffs or search inara for something.

I use a combo of my black widow keyboard and my razer tartarus for my quick access controls (screen look, cargo and landing gear, night vision, etc.)

I actually enjoy Mouse and Keyboard for flight, but if you had to decide between Stick and Throttle or Dual Sticks with Pedals, which do you think would be a better fit for some one stepping into using them for the first time? Or is it a preference thing?

I'd say stick and throttle as its less moving parts to get acquainted to. I do want to eventually want to try a hosas set-up at one point, but hotas seemed much more approachable to start.

I first got into Elite with the original in the '90s. Got into ED when it first came out. Was amazing...

But the grind is tedious. I dropped it at Odyssey as I don't think my laptop would have coped & the update was half-arsed.

I gather there's promising news for 2025 though?

Oh, theres promising news now! Powerplay 2.0 has been released and eas given a bug rebalancing yesterday. The grind for cr and merits has gotten a lot less. Not to mention, doing exobiology is a surefire way to get into the billions of cr

I've always wanted to play this. I have the CPU GPU horsepower, but what would you say is the minimum hardware (controllers) to actually enjoy this? Would simple keyboard mouse be selling the game short?

You can definitely have a fun experience with a controller plus a keyboard. Theres a lot of finer controls to get used too and having a keyboard for quick access is invaluable

I bought it early on, but I wasn't really convinced. I used to play elite II Frontier and another one (new encounters or something), and loved it as a kid, but Dangerous just felt hollow. Maybe should give it another try. Anyway, online games are usually not worth it if not in it from the start.

Is that a surface? We have basically identical set ups haha. Except I don't have a stick and throttle, but I do have that nostromo hiding back there lol, curved monitor and same keyboard. Good stuff!
