Deciding who to donate to based on who's actively opposing the trans bans. So far @aclu.org is way ahead of @hrc.org. As a major donor to HRC, I am very disappointed at the lack of concrete action. Zoom calls and pep-talk fundraising email isn't enough, folks.

Simple hellos. In an atmosphere where my reaction is to want to retreat and become invisible, a simple, genuine, look me in the eyes hello is sometimes the only thing I need to move forward through a day.
Did you miss the memo this week re: EEOC not processing sexual orientation discrimination claims? I don’t see any post here about that from your handle.
a). Why haven’t you publicly called that out, and b). Why aren’t you immediately litigating?
The joy of every motherfucker who told me I was overreacting seeing that I was right. The joy of Democrats realizing the DNC is worthless and hates trans people just as much as the GOP.
Seeing all the brave people who are fighting back. To hear common sense from some of our legislative branch who are as outraged as I. And a ton of kisses and cuddles with my fur baby.
Directives to oppress me & people like me have been introduced, along w/laws doing the same in red states. Mobs, riled up by the Felon/Dictator in charge of my government have been harrassing transfolk. Joy is absent in my life at the moment.
Nothing brought me joy this week. Decades after my transition, fascists gained control of my government, in part put into office because they espouse anti-transgender sentiment.
Following the amazing pop up spots that World Central Kitchen is bringing to the LA area to support those still healing from the wildfires, and the weekly We Rate Dogs videos🫶
I'm blasting heavy metal into my ears currently. Sleep Token, y'all if you've never listened to them. They're AMAZING! They have ballads and rap mixed with their metal. Rain, Take me Back to Eden, and Ascensionism is on my "Jammy Jams" playlist.
There was a food pantry drive at our local grocery store and while shopping, I heard several people talking about what they were going to contribute. ❤️
Last year I set a goal to get certified in a classroom engagement technique. To do so, I had to borrow a colleagues’s classroom because I serve as the building literacy coach and have no class of my own. I’ve tried two other times since I set the goal, and on Thursday, I earned my certificate!
Oh my fucking god! Is this all you can post while the wheels of bigotry are moving forward and erasing our history and demonizing trans? Gives us resistance and fight , not comfort and joy!
I agree, as a member of the LGBTQIA+ they play it safe, accommodation policies while taking in millions of funding money and throw elaborate fund raising parties. Del perpetuating lip service!
Joy is part of resistance. Nazi occupied areas still had secret "floating" schools, gardens, weddings, kids, and so on.
African-American slaves had songs, stories, art, dance, and such to both remember who they were and where they came from, and to organize resistance in code.
Okay, do you just ignore all the books written or talks given by people who lived through it? It's pretty well documented. Were they happy about their oppression? No. Did they still do normal people things when and where they could? Yes.
I ask people are you a George Washington Carver or a William Monroe Trotter? Recommend reading Black Radical by Kerri Greenidge . I have a very strong understanding of history and it’s not looking good on its current trajectory!

We turned off the TV, and hang out by the woodstove in a space lit by kerosene lamps and listen to old timey radio shows while I knit and spin.
