So I'm doing the final check of the US layout of STONE AND SKY and I reach a bit talking about long summer days in Aberdeenshire. Curious - I looked up the latitude 57.15 degrees north. I saw a map that replaces North American cities with European and African cities at the same latitude. Even when you kinda know, it’s so weird to see.

Summer days would be long at that latitude. I recall dusk in June hitting after 9PM in London, as it also hits in Chicago. So further North should have very long summer days (and inhumanly short winter days).

In fairness I’ve been to Stonehaven in June and it’s been 11 degrees.
