Research Question for Welsh speakers - can I confirm that the word in modern Welsh for "zoo" is "sw"? I don't trust Google on this.

'sw' without a circumflex is standard, as a monosyllabic word ending in a vowel is expected to have a long vowel in Welsh: ffa, te, ci, to, llu, llw, ffy (flees) etc.

It is, but it needs the circumflex accent over the 'w' which in Welsh is a vowel. Is this a Pongo related query?

That is correct. Word order is also different so the ‘sw’ bit is usually at the front of the name. Anglesey Sea Zoo becomes Sw Môr Môn for example.
