Adding a tariff doesn’t mean the importer will suddenly move his or her factory to the U.S. Do you know how long that takes? Years. And that is assuming customers are willing to pay the higher price. Which, if they were, the item would be manufactured in the U.S. already

Absolutely not. I will simply discontinue the product and sell other things that don’t have a tariff. This will cause shortages and price increases. More supply chain disruption. Prices on things made in U.S. factories today will also rise because raw materials are often made outside the U.S.
