One of my favorite things while riding a bike is waving hello to other people on bikes (especially people I don’t know). That’s awesome and would be totally weird if done while driving.

I learned from a friend who has a Jeep that Jeep owners blink their lights at each other. I don’t know if anyone knows why they do it, but it happens every time we drive in her car.
When I'm driving on rural roads, I still do the mini wave from the steering wheel (because that's what we did on rural/dirt roads growing up?), but these days I just get weird looks 😄🤷🏻♀️
I so miss all the interactions like you describe, and the serendipitous way I'd run into people I knew nearly every day on my bike commute in Portland. 💔
Just saw an ad where a man and woman pull up next to each other and it goes into this whole fantasy sequence of them dancing and then doing some dance with their cars before the light turns green.
Almost every night while riding home through a wildlife reserve in Southern California, I’d meet the same person riding opposite. We’d shield out bike lights from each other as they were blinding in that dark place. No idea who that person is, but I think about that interaction often
On my bike I wave to other bikes and have chats at red lights. Also share waves with joggers and with people walking dogs sometimes. It’s very connective and nice. I only wave to cars when they let me cross a street when I’m walking.

Bikes are just people, on a cute little wheely thing.
another reason why bikes are a better form of transport
