I visited last year for a different meetup, it's very cool! Deliver Sessions gets to visit lots of different offices, nice to have a look round them all.

I've signed up for future notifications too. EventBrite ones kind of go under the radar for me. As much as Meetup sucks, it's good for discovery

That's disappointing to hear! We used to use Meetup, but they changed their rates and it would have been hundreds of pounds annually. We only do about 4 meetups a year!

Eventbrite works fine for organising and notifying people once they've been once, shame if it's hard to stumble on things.

Yeah a few meetups have had that problem. I remember the initial storm of "this meetup has been abandoned, do you want to claim it" type email. That awful decision also lead to some getting hijacked and spammed 🥲

😱 I think that was the default option organisers got steered to, I had to dig around to find the "really close it and make it stay gone, no offering out to anyone else" button.
