My point is that any list like that is going to be totally arbitrary, there's bound to be hundreds of these "lists". Like, according to who? The UN? WPR? Wikipedia? There's so many other ways to criticize the US, this just isn't it...
No, It's Too Greedy To Figure It Out.....Republicans Have Blocked Any And All Efforts To Fix This Problem.....Those Drug Companies Make Huge Political Donations.....
Nonsense. Every time I've needed health care of any sort, I've been treated promptly. If I had received my diabetes diagnosis in the USA I'd be dead right now.
The silliest part is you pay less in taxes for universal healthcare than you currently do for insurance. Youβre cutting the for-profit part out of the equation
Those countries also tend to use this tax to fund education, retirement, and paid maternal and medical leave compensation programs as well, all things which are either privatized or absent altogether in the US.
I hope the modern NHS is not the standard for single payer healthcare. I have been at the mercy of the NHS and when I described my treatment to my doctors when I got back to the US they gasped and called it βbarbaricβ. I hope other countries have done better.
The NHS is chronically underfunded compared to other more successful models. However when I had a heart attack I was treated immediately. If only the NHS had US levels of funding.
Now that we have RFK, Jr. we donβt need it. We are all going to die of something eradicated years ago unless we start drinking cod liver oil while eating a banana and standing on one leg shouting βLong live the king!β
It's not complicated at all... If there was universal healthcare in the usa, black people would also be covered and benefit from it, and that is simply unacceptable to a majority of americans.

But maybe not see this as a numbers debate, rather as a challenge to US to do better for their people. US is way too low on the list, with its GDP.
Do you want to get the numbers exactly right and have a ranking that proves US performs poor?
Or do you challenge the overall statement that US performs significantly worse than its peers?
there's a sweet spot of the healthcare system were it actually make the state spend less in the long run
All 32 developed nations HAVE figured it out.
