Second hand market can get you decent ones for cheap, but even brand new monitors have gotten pretty affordable. Decent IPS monitors start at ~100 USD, 150 if you want high refresh rates and more than 22 inches diagonal
I love my three monitor setup and couldn’t function as efficiently without them. I’m also thinking of use my iPad to display slack and my mail. That way it’s off my other monitor.
I do a lot of work in photoshop... and some web development... absolute necessity to have at LEAST 2... even if all you do is social media... nice to use one monitor for reference/lookup
When I was developing courses for the Air Force, it was nice to have the courseware on one screen and the regulations on another screen. It was annoying to interrupt one of them for e-mail. Three would have been nice…
When I was doing sw development, one for code, one for specifications/device manuals, and one for inter-office communications (email, chat/messaging) sometimes substituting testing. (And I’ve been retired 11 years)
That's awesome! Similar here - still have fond memories of MW2. And ya, still playing with the same dudes. From tabletop to MWO/MW5. Though currently we're on hiatus from MWO to enjoy some Darktide and Enshrouded.
The mouse is for looking around and some firing, the G910 keyboard for some things, the G13 (discontinued) to the left of the keyboard for most battles, and the joystick for others - especially the spinning around types. The touchpad (leftmost) is configured for fine targeting, with Vector watching.
I run three large monitors every day too. 29” 5k, 32” 4k and one interesting LG monitor a DualUp that is essentially two 27 inch monitors stacked vertically in size (2560x2882 pixels)
So 3 monitors but more like 4 in terms of space.
I’d sooner retire than decrease my desktop real estate
My cad computer at work had four monitor outputs. I have plugged in four monitors of three different sizes. Plus two more computers with a monitor each are sitting off to the side. My engineer thinks I’m nuts.
65” screen doesn’t sit easily on most desks, but you be you. Whatever works. I use my Mac Lap top and a 32@ screen with a 60” wall mount above for a client monitor. I’m comfortable with that.
None necessary - I've been watching and loving Godzilla movies since the original 1954 Godzilla movie (the original with English subtitles is STILL the best one!)
You can always mount two on the walls.... Just an idea.
Sorry, I raised 6 gamers of which 4 are in programming and or computer security. One of the boys hamster was named Linux.... LOL

🤔 I wonder what it would cost for an artist to make an animated version
Here you go (somehow I can easily find it on my computer and totally not on my phone) but I found it again!
