I literally don’t care what they do in terms of platforms as long as it motivates them to make more single player content. The refusal by 343 to take campaign seriously for over a decade now is infuriating.

I’m personally torn on this. I have so far skipped the Series X, and instead have a PS5. I loved playing Halo on XB1 and Halo 2 (single and multiplayer!) with friends in the 360 era. I will still buy Halo on PS5, but it will feel odd.

I still think that 343i produces a reboot/reimaging for the series moving forward. The older games and stories can be great 3rd-party fodder while the Xbox users get the new series. Sort of a win/win.

I almost think it's either time for a reboot for Halo.

Or.

They needed to go ahead and jump like two hundred years and start a new story with a new Spartan.

You can hear stories about the legendary Master Chief and stuff, but really let it be this new Spartan's story.

Seriously, i do not understand why so many people get all apprehensive about "erasing the class Halo stories."

First of all, reboots dont "erase" anything. The DMC reboot didn't make the original games disappear.

Second, who CARES?? Halo's story has gone fuckin nowhere for the last 15 years.

Given that 343 just rebranded as "Halo Studios" I highly doubt that Microsoft would say, "Sorry guys, we're giving the next big Halo game to id Software."

It's not impossible, sure; Halo Studios could do other smaller-scale Halo projects. But I think it's highly, highly unlikely.

A complete reboot/ remake of Halo 1 does sound appealing to my ears. I was only 4 yrs old when it first came out but I have good memories of watching my cousins play it

CE remake is almost a certainty at this point. Assets from the Halo Studio reveal all CE related. Plus a remake is the best way to get your team acclimated to a new engine. Since major design decisions were made 25 years ago. I think it's a CE remake and Inifinite 2. Infinite deserves a sequel.
