I was a kid during Reagan (born in the last year of Carter) and I think Reagan v Bush is a legitimate argument. To me, Bush really super charged Reagan's goals....so it kinda depends on who you blame for that. But yeah Reagan is definitely in the conversation.

Yeah exactly. I think (maybe?) a mitigating factor for Reagan is that you could argue he had some positive things -- a decent economy, setting up the end of the Cold War. I'm not sure I'm convinced by that, but it's at least an argument.
