YES !!! Ants do poop ! But they only do so in socially accepted locations, much like their biological cousin, the human being. And they poop a potassium rich and all round admirable product the ants call 'frass'. Sometimes names and products really suit each other. Frass, for instance.
However I would never want to be the pooping ant. Ants are forever hard at work constructing Pharonic (on ant scale) projects and to be that one ant who says 'Guys can we pause the line for a bit ? I am going to go offer the thunder bucket its greatest challenge !"
The Queen would have my head.
You know who didn't poop ? The previous Dear Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong IL. As if his pompadour and high heeled boots weren't cool enough, he was blessed with such transcendental bowels that he never had to poop. If you believe North Korean propaganda which I certainly do.
I read a book a while back called 'Everybody Poops'. I think it's since been banned since it indirectly implies that transsexuals and African Americans poop. But it really is pretty comprehensive.
Ants do indeed poop, but their waste, known as frass, resembles a sawdust-like substance rather than typical feces. They maintain designated toilet areas within their nests, where they deposit this waste to keep their living environment clean and sanitary.
