I’ve repeated asked Canadian Blood Services to resume the mask mandate for blood donations. A lot of their regular donors were seniors, who didn’t want to sit indoors for an hour with a lot of other unmasked people

Normally the nurse doing the pre-check in the small room has been masked when I go. In the actual donating area rarely do I see anyone mask except me. I’ll see how it is today when I go again.

I would also go back to donate they had at least one day a week with masks required. I asked them about it when they called me, but I don't know if the request made it past the person who got tasked with calling donors.

Not in Hamilton that serves hundreds of thousands within Southern Ontario. With a dedicated cancer hospital and world class heart facility. That article headline is majorly misleading. And I’m saying this as a person who is ticked off it’s not in place. We should be embarrassed for our ignorance.

We support masking in all healthcare settings. Our intention isn’t to mislead people but, in launching our BC campaign, to point out that other jurisdictions have restored masking.

Good luck. I never took it as you were trying to mislead and just thought you would want to be as accurate as reasonable in case someone accuses you of saying something that isn’t true.

The problem is the headline says Southwestern Ontario when it isn’t all of it, but that isn’t your fault.

Yes I clearly said it was the headline that was misleading. Journalists need to be accurate instead of looking for clickbait. Those of us looking for increased masking need to be accurate to be taken seriously. When you’re fighting for an unpopular cause rock solid evidence is a necessity.
