This game hits upon something I don’t think anything else has, which is that Souls-like combat is better in isometric than third-person. The top-down angle lets you see the entire ballet play out between combatants. Feints and attacks are way more satisfying as a result.

I have been inhaling No Rest for the Wicked with every spare moment I have. It’s not quite accommodating or accessible, in quality of life terms, but I think we’re dealing with a potential all-timer here.
