To the people who keep saying the country will not survive, you are wrong. The people will survive and the country will as well. Elaine Brown who was the Chairman of the Black Panther Party did a lecture on the long memory.

I agree with all of this unless white people decide they want a better US decide to throw away those Racist and Bigoted mindsets that will not work
All that was put into place to help the US Progress Now they're trying to tear it down take the US backwards 1950 again This is the 21st century
We will. We are going to need to do everything we can to make it happen. I just hope people are understanding the importance of practical matters and local elections. There are thousands of seats up for grabs soon. I hope some of that energy is being directed toward this issue.
From my narrow, but up-close perspective, I'm seeing enthusiasm and engagement in two different elections, one district level, one statewide. Separately, I'd would have liked to have seen higher turnout for the special election to replace Angela Alsobrooks, but nonetheless, folks were engaged.
I really think that is all you can ask for regarding change. The truth is that some people are not ready and will stay home. I think after this we may be able to get voting declared a national holiday.
Yes, we will as a country survive but at a terrible cost to the many individuals who will lose their lives, livelihoods, families, & dreams. All of which is an unnecessary infliction of pain that diminishes & stains all of us.
That said, your post reminds me that we retain focus & hope. Thank you.
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."
You couldn't be more wrong. This country is going to have a very large body count long before 2028 gets here, unless something is done now to stop this madness. I don't call that "surviving"
This is why I delete bots who follow my page and comment under fake profiles. They are usually posting some uneducated, ignorant post, and are always racist.
If FDR could establish the federal agencies that are being torn down right now, and launch the New Deal 1 & 2, we will rebuild. Learn more about what he did to save American lives.
2. When I look at what is happening with the implementation of Project 2025 at the federal level, I see something different. I see the elimination of every agency started by Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression. Please note that Roosevelt went against everyone to save lives.
1. She talked about how adversaries always have a long memory and play a long game. We must always remember this and develop one as well. Everything will not come easy or quickly. You must read, study, have patience, plan, and know when to organize around humane ideas.

It takes planning. However, a good portion of this can be resolved at the local level.
Please continue to do voter education and political literacy between primaries, local, state, and national elections.
Take care.
