I’ve been seeing this trend(?) of titles with asterisks next to them for no clear reason, first with the podcast Trans* Lesson Plan (sic) and then with Thunderbolts* (sic). Does anyone know what, if anything, this is meant to mean? Is it a trend I’m just not up on yet, or just a coincidence?

The weirdest thing just happened: I’m watching Bob’s Burgers on Disney+, it goes to an ad break and the first thing I see is a still photo of a protester getting in the face of and screaming at cop in crowd control gear, with the sound of crowd activity softly rising in the background.
