Despite rain over the past fortnight(ish), we remain in a critical drought. I'm hoping for more rain soon and am always deeply grateful for the cloud cover, but worried about the water I must use to wash the eggs. Fortunately, the soil here sequesters a lot of water, which may help see us through.
