I feel like im weird with video games because i can really only play one at a time- like animal crossing was all i really played from 20-22, and then i hit a XIV phase from 22-24, and now its DAV. How do you all move brain worms so fast 😭 - ThreadSky

I'm like this too. And I have to keep restarting my games cause if I've been away for 6+ months or even years idk what I was doing. So I rarely finish games or play end game content cause I keep restarting 🥲

I've been playing DAO & it's DA successors since each released. In order, on repeat. 100s of times over the yrs.

I managed to squeeze in a small break for ME (figured I might like it since it was Bioware. I loved it ... but still went back to DA)

So, you're actually more adventurous than I am. LOL

It’s real simple I don’t finish anything all I do is play 70% then get distracted by new shiny, then come back guiltily 6-12 months later to wrap it up

The only time I focus on one thing is when I hyperfixate. Otherwise I'm playing at least 5 things at once and frustrated because I'd liked to play more. If I'm not fully obessed with something I'm basically constantly seeking 'new'

I don’t know I just kinda starter STALKER 2, and then Indiana Jones, and now I want Path of Exile and I haven’t even started Aliens Dark Descent. I still have DATV runs left, then to go back to juggling things like BG3, Cyberpunk, and Rogue Trader lol

I'm very hyperfixate-minded as well. I've played almost nothing besides Veilguard since it launched. I've dabbled in other games (like reinstalling CP2077 to try it out on a new PC) but I'd wager that 95% of my gaming since 10/31 has been in Veilguard. lol

I’m the same way. I have very few games I actually play, but I play them for several years, maybe alternating between two, like bg3 XIV. Now it’s all DAV. Finished that run? Time to start a new one lol.

Honestly me being into XIV is why i missed BG3- i was about to hit shadowbringers when it released and they keep releasing meaty patches? Like i guess ill wait til its ‘finished’ at this point 🥲

Shadowbringers is an excellent reason to get waylaid lol. Yeah, bg3 has a final big patch next year bringing photo mode and new subclasses! It will be a great time to jump in, if you can pull yourself away from DAV 😂

That's interesting. I never finished BG3, I tried romancing Astarion and apparently missed some conversation that happens with an NPC, and it ended the romance prematurely. Really soured the rest of the game for me. Maybe photo mode would be enough to entice me back.

That’s a shame, yeah, that would upset me as well. It sounds like you missed the Act 2 lock-in. There’s two ways to trigger it but I’ve heard of others missing it and getting dumped 😢 not fun. It’s an amazing game though so I always encourage a revisit 💜

I don't play many games anymore but when I did it was because I got bored QUICK. I would have several playthroughs of different games going and play them for like two hours then move on to the next until I had to go back to the real world.

I also listen to audio books while I play games.

I’m currently bouncing between DATV, the RE4 remake, and the new Indiana Jones game. I die a lot in all of them because I keep combing the controls of all of them and pressing the wrong buttons during crucial moments. Would not recommend 😅

I've been hyperfocused on Dragon Age since June and played through Veilguard really fast (for me), so I think I'm burned out emotionally and mentally and need a break. 😅 I can't play the same game again immediately, even if I love it, because I like that feeling of it being "done."

I start one, burn out a bit (my second dav run) take a break with something familiar (dao) hit an annoying spot (f u fade) and find a second break game to restart (da2) and then will begrudgingly get on the game I need to do things for (ffxiv) and then crash out on all until the next interest hits 🫠

honestly???? lol i get spun up about media I feel really strongly toward. When i was younger (in my 20s, so not a child) I used to get quite upset; I've gotten a lot better about truly enjoying something but placing it back down and shifting gears to something else for a little bit.
