The most confusing thing about the AI push is that we just accepted that this fancy new tech is so bad that every product comes with a "everything this thing generates might be wrong and it is upon you to check".

That makes more sense to me once I think about how much we’ve devalued truthful and high-quality information recently. These tools became popular about when people stopped caring about checking their own work.
For me? Not for LLMs or image generators. Like we have some scientific setups for LLMs but those are experimental and about experiences. For my own work I literally can't think of a reason to use them.
Truth! But given the last election results (if you believe they weren’t fixed by Musk/Skynet/Russia) I’m beginning to think that random AI generated content and ideas might be better than that which comes from the pea brains of the millions of fools in our country.
We accepted being expected to memorize a dozen arbitrary "strong" passwords making online security our problem instead of a liability for banks and shops. It isn't even a tech thing it's just the nature of Capitalism (and all hierarchies) that responsibility runs downhill and GenAI is ur-Capitalism.
