I have to guess (because I don't know from experience) that having more than ~10k followers on any platform exposes you to much more of this. I see the same complaints from people wth a large following on Threads, for example.

Social media doesn't scale well. Humans are poop sometimes.

Sounds a lot like Twitt.. I mean X. There is 99.9% chance a lot of them are from X to attack political creators that have moved onto bluesky to basically have you feel the way you're feeling now.

My experience here vastly differs from yours, but, & I say this as someone who enjoys your work, the only one I see talking about this is you. A lot. I am not sure if it is the content/size of your audience, or just you, but I do wonder if you might need to find another way to utilize this place.

Maybe without the engagement driven algorithms of other sites, political conversations rarely break out beyond your regular followers? Blessing and a curse I suppose.

TikTok or Twitter definitely amplifies stuff into "you'll respond because you hate this" audience.
