I've been wondering what movie we're in but I think it might be the Doctor Who episode with the aliens that want to start a nuclear war so they can profit off of the destruction.

It might be "Dalek," where we let a stupid rich guy muck around with technology, causing untold mayhem and getting many people killed (and unleashing a greater evil on the world that continues popping up randomly for years to come).
