I'm still disappointed that with all of the talk of bringing consistency across OS 26 the macOS 26 graphical DatePicker still looks as vomit-inducing as ever (don't think this could even pass Apple HIGs). Sad when compared to the awesome one in iOS/iPadOS.
There’s been incremental improvements but navigation is still the biggest pain point for me. Even now, it’s often easier to wrap everything in UIKit code to handle navigation.
Yes, yes, yes. I talked to an engineer last week during the one-on-one labs about the bad performance of SwiftData for larger data sets, and apparently, there is no real solution. So I have to switch back to Core Data… And I also desperately miss CloudKit sharing.
Would love to see more improvements to DocumentGroup. While we got the launch scene last year, it’s still very tricky to do your own UI on iOS because DocumentGroup provides a non-negotiable navigation view for you.
Reality Composer Pro needs some love. At first glance, it doesn't seem to have any new features.
❌ Lacks documentation
❌ Timelines and actions are very limited
❌ Moving or renaming items is fraught issues
❌ A lot of components available in code are not included in RCP

(Yay for WebView in ‘26 tho!)
Inheritance simply wasn’t the things I was looking for. CloudKit sharing would really be lovely…
