I still love going old school and checking out all the fabulous new PB’s on the kidlit cart at the local library.
Plus, the librarians are awesome helpers with comp searches!🤩

Good or bad, I often make my selection of PB's to read by their art. Of course if I hear recommendations of good books to read I try to check them out. But art is always an attention grabber for me.

I substitute teach sometimes, so I get a plethora of books to choose from when I work. Every school and classroom has something different. I also find a lot of new books on Hoopla and Overdrive-- granted ebooks are not best for PBs.

I have a "meeting" with my 2yr old before going to the library and let him decide on what topics we want to learn about. Then we "hunt" for those types of books! I've found books I never would have picked up and we've discovered a bunch of new authors/illustrators we LOVE!
