Within 7 days of her removal from the unit they also stopped taking babies born before 32 weeks or any that needed intensive care, reduced total cot numbers and increased doctors’ ward rounds. You can’t infer anything about Letby from the subsequent reduction in mortality.

There was something worrying about the pile on that happened in this case, I can understand the obvious sensitivity in child death. But I wonder was this trial fair? did the defence have all the data needed? In which case the outcome was not fair, subtle difference, but a real one.
